5.56 mm is a type of ammunition featured in The Last Stand: Union City and The Last Stand: Aftermath. It is primarily used in Assault Rifles, as well as the M249 SAW, the Sportshot Rifle, and Hunter Compact.

The Last Stand: Union City

It deals an average amount of damage and knockback, is a somewhat common zombie drop, and can be purchased at the King-o-Pawn in both Canal Park and Uptown.

It deals an average amount of damage and knockback, and is a somewhat common zombie drop. It can, however, be obtained in abandoned military and HERC facilities, or by purchasing it via supply caches obtained from Trinity or by Mikhail in exchange for Knowledge points.
