Alliances Stage 1

An alliance

Alliances are a feature in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

Background

This will be a way for like-minded folks to work together.

Details

Players must first construct an Alliance Banner stand to either join or create an Alliance. Joining an Alliance can then be done at Level 10, while creating one can be done at Level 15 at a cost of 1,000 Fuel. Each Alliance can have a maximum of 50 players. Once part of an Alliance, players cannot create or join another Alliance until they leave their current one.

Founding

A player who creates an Alliance is that Alliance's Founder, and has the responsibility of deciding the Alliance's name, tag and Banner, as well as managing its members,[n 1] resources and intended direction. An Alliance's Banner can be edited for free once after the initial founding, then for 1,000 Fuel for subsequent edits.

Communication

Members of the same Alliance will be marked in green in the Communications System, and each Alliance will have their own unique chat channel. Members of an Alliance will also have the Alliance's Founder-set tag located after their user names. Clicking said tag will display details on that Alliance.

Members of an Alliance can view that Alliance's Alliance Wall, which high-ranking members can leave notes on.

Alliance Level

Placing in the top 100 Alliances during a competition round grants Alliances a set amount of Victory Points, determined by where the Alliance placed. These points act similarly to XP and will increase the Alliance's Level.

Leaving

Should the player wish to leave an alliance, either to join another or create their own, one must find their username under the "Members" section of the alliance. Near their username is a gear button that provides the option to leave an alliance.

Disbanding

Alliances can be disbanded by the founder, but no fuel will be refunded and all alliance tokens, war points, and bonuses gained from the alliance will be lost.

Alliance Wars

Every week, a new competitive round will begin. Alliances will fight for set prizes that are awarded to the top 3 Alliances at the end of the round. The prizes are sizable amounts of fuel and are split between the Top 10 members of each of the winning Alliances.

Every Alliance member has their Alliance Banner on display. Successfully looting it in a raid will grant War Points to the raiding player and cause the defending player to lose War Points, unless they're both from the same Alliance. If all raiders are incapacitated, however, the raiding player will count as failing even if they managed to loot the Banner. If the Banner is looted, it will reappear automatically after a set amount of time.

Compounds attacked as part of the Alliance Wars cannot be raided by anyone from the same Alliance for 1 hour. Abandoning a raid, either by closing or refreshing the browser or disconnecting will prevent the raider from earning War Points for 2 hours.

The amount of points earned and lost is determined by comparing the raider's level vs the defender's level, as well as their respective Alliances' total War Scores. Players with a higher level and/or a higher total War Score will lose more points and gain less, and vice versa for lower level and/or lower positioned players.

Alliances are ranked on the War Leaderboard which determines the winners at the end of the round. In the case of points being tied, the most "Efficient" alliance will be awarded the prize.

Members that join an Alliance during a War Round are placed into Enlisting mode and cannot contribute towards Alliance Tasks or earn War Points. Alliances created during a War Round will also be placed in Enlisting mode and won't be ranked on the Leaderboard.

Scores

Alliance scores are only for the current round of competition and will reset at the end of each round. The Alliance's score is the total of its members' War Points, with a scale applied to allow smaller Alliances to compete with bigger ones.

Members gain War Points by successfully looting other Alliances' banners. If a member is removed from an Alliance during the course of a round, their War Point contribution is also removed.

Tasks & Tokens

An alliance token

Each member within the Alliance that is able to contribute War Points to the current round can also contribute to Alliance Tasks, which can involve killing a certain amount of zombies to finding a certain number of items. Some Alliance Tasks require gathering resources the player to manually donate those resources, while others will be automatically updated.

Completing these tasks earns Tokens for the Alliance, which can be spent on War Boosts. The number of Tokens earned once a task is completed is 8 tokens per non-Enlisting member, so an Alliance of 1 non-Enlisting member will receive 8 tokens per task, while an Alliance with 50 non-Enlisting members will receive 400 per task instead.

Tokens can only be spent by the top two ranks of an alliance and carry over to subsequent rounds if not spent.
