Blacksmiths have existed for thousands of years, long before even the Iron Age. Blacksmiths heat metal in a forge, making it more malleable before hammering it into its desired shape. This process was repeated as often as needed until the product was completed. Blacksmithing saw a rise in popularity and usage during the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans, and despite modern advances in technology, traditional blacksmithing is still practiced by DIY enthusiasts today.
Difficult to find in the modern age, some may be purchased directly from manufacturers or stolen from a pioneer village.
