A well worn woolen blanket.
A blanket is a large, rectangular-shaped piece of cloth used to shelter and insulate a person or object. They are mainly used on beds, but may also be used for a large variety of purposes. Many blankets are typically made of wool due to their excellent insulation, but silk and synthetic fibers are becoming more common as they stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
