The Last Stand: Aftermath released!
The Last Stand: Aftermath was officially released yesterday on Steam, Good Old Games, Epic Games Store, and in a series first, gaming consoles (PS4, PS5 and XBOX).
A singleplayer only action adventure roguelite, players take on the role of one of many already infected survivors, doomed to die soon one way or another. Now you have nothing left to lose, so make your last stand out in the aftermath of the apocalypse and hopefully make things easier for those who will come afterwards.
Playing The Last Stand (and other Flash games) after 2020
This was reposted from our Discord server. If you're not on Discord, why not? Join today!
As you may already know, Adobe Flash is no longer supported and most modern browsers will no longer run or play Flash content. As The Last Stand series is Flash-based, it is no longer possible to play the games in your web browser without the use of Flash emulation software. However, it is still possible to play the games using an Adobe Flash Standalone Projector.
The Adobe Flash Standalone Projector is a program that can run .swf files, which are the files that contain Flash content. It is a small and lightweight program that takes up only 15 MB of space on your computer.
Adobe has released versions of the Standalone Projector for Windows, macOS and Linux…
The Last Stand: Aftermath on Steam
After years, there's finally been sign of activity. I'll leave it to you whether I'm talking about the game or myself.
Those of you who've happened to look at Con Artist Games' Twitter page past the start of May probably already know this, but The Last Stand: Aftermath is now on Steam. Still no word on when exactly it's going to start Early Access, but they're intending to finish it in mid-2021 and release the full game in the same year. It's not free to play like the previous games, unfortunately, but it looks pretty interesting so far.
To commemorate this, I'm changing the poll (most important weapon stat) on the front page, which has run for 1.5 years now. Out of 57 votes:
- Damage, to take down zombies quickly - 34
- Range, to pick off targets f…
URL change to "fandom.com"—what this means for us
You may have seen this banner appearing around the wiki:
This is because our landlords (FANDOM, formerly known as Wikia) have begin moving domain names of wikis from "wikia.com" to "fandom.com". I just tested and "tlaststand.wikia.com" properly redirects to "thelaststand.fandom.com", our current address, so you should not have to worry about old links breaking (yet; I don't trust FANDOM).
We're still going to be that encyclopedia of knowledge that you've come to know and depend on for years now, and we have absolutely no plans on deviating from that. We will always have the articles and the wealth of knowledge available to you, and we're still the wiki looking for new editors to be bold and help us improve our articles. That isn't going away…
Wiki URL changed to "thelaststand.wikia.com"
You may have noticed that the wiki's URL was mysteriously changed from 'tlaststand.wikia.com
' to 'thelaststand.wikia.com
'. To clarify, I did not orchestrate this change. The change happened around November 30, and was done without any notification or prior consultation of the community here. When I discovered that the URL had changed, I immediately emailed Staff demanding an explanation. Today I got a response from Rappy:
First off, thank you for the response, Rappy, and for the apology. This cools a lot of flames within me. Secondly, I hope that there will be no repeat of this debacle and that changes to the wiki by Staff must always be done with the consensus of the wiki community, which in turn necessitates notification and communication o…

Discord — Your Z-Mas Present This Year
Merry Z-Mas, survivors!
You may have noticed that the wiki's been a little quiet recently. There aren't as many editors around as there used to be, but our wiki readership has remained at a fairly stable ~2.5K views per day.
This year, I've decided to try to cater to those 2,500 people by creating a Discord server for The Last Stand Wiki! For those who are not aware, Discord is a free Internet communication software that rivals Skype and TeamSpeak, but is more tailored towards gamers. Discord offers both text-based chat and voice-based chat, which allows people to talk to each other over the Internet in real time. Discord is very simple to use, and you can access it right from your web browser or their standalone apps for Windows, macOS, Andr…
Undead Blitz update out now!
It has certainly been a while since I last posted a news blog here on this wiki. Note that we do have a Twitter account where updates are more frequent. Follow us at @LastStandWiki if you haven't already!
Anyways, Con and his cronies have blessed us with yet another update, just in time for Halloween! This time, we're up to something new. Looks like Con's been in a World War II mood recently (Or perhaps we're now receiving the carcass of Warfare Online... who knows?)!

Wiki Activity Stats Now Public
It's May 2, 2017. My birthday! Happy birthday to.... me, I guess?
Well, as a birthday present, I have decided to unveil a project I've been working on since February.
Wikia records the total number of views, edits made, and photos that are uploaded to a wiki and makes it visible in the admin dashboard for up to 7 days. This information is not normally public, and is deleted after a week.
Recently I've been recording the numbers in the dashboard to a Google Sheets file, and I think I have enough information recorded to share it to the public.
If you're interested in seeing the number of views made to the wiki every single day, you can view the spreadsheet here. Note that the viewcount information is approximate, since Wikia doesn't show me the e…
The Last Stand: Dead Zone Roadmap 2017
Con Artist Games has finally released the Roadmap for The Last Stand: Dead Zone. The team has been busy with Warfare Online recently, but (Thankfully!) they have not forgotten about the Dead Zone.
- 1 5 Years in the Dead Zone
- 2 Tactics Manuals
- 3 New HERC Developments
- 4 Late Game Levelling System
- 5 High Activity Zones
- 6 Suburb Changes
- 7 Event Updates
- 8 ...and

While the 5th anniversary celebrations seem to have concluded, Con Artist Games have said that they plan on celebrating throughout the year. Not sure if there will be stuff in-game for us, or if it's just an office party that none of us are invited to. (And if it's the latter, can they at least make "Cake" a scavengeable food item?)
Knowledge is power in the Dead Zone, and it seems Con is openin…
