A small broken table.
Tables are a raised furniture used to keep its contents some distance above the dirty, filthy floor. Objects placed on the table are far less likely to break or get trampled on, are much easier to organize, and in the case of work, reduces the strain on the back and neck by keeping the project at chest or neck level. When the weight on the table exceeds its design capacities, it's back to working on the floor again.
Working tables are used virtually everywhere, while smashed tables are broken down by reclaimed wood dealers, tossed into the junkyard, or incinerated.
