Tactics[]

Unlike its predecessors, this version of the Chainsaw does not use ammunition or fuel of any kind, making it a regular melee weapon. What it does share is its loudness and incredible power, though its slow strike speed makes it very risky to use, especially since the generated noise may attract more zombies than its wielder can handle. It is best for the wielder to be backed up by other survivors.

Recommended gear[]

  • Vests to increase the health of the wielder, allowing them to survive longer at close range, with some variants providing a boost in melee combat.

Pros[]

  • Very High Damage
  • Good Reach
  • High Knockback (vs. other blades)
  • Very Accurate

Cons[]

  • Very Loud
  • Continuously Generates Noise
  • Attacks Slowly
  • High Move Speed Penalty

Trivia[]

  • The Juggling prefix was added to the Chainsaw and Mini Chainsaw in a hidden patch for April Fools' in 2013.
