Cloth is a type of resource featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
Description[]
Material used in the construction of buildings.
Usage of Cloth[]
Cloth is utilized in the construction and upgrading of most compound structures. It is also required in crafting certain types of gear. Its associated storage building is the Cloth Storage.
This resource can be found throughout the Dead Zone, though the amount scavenged depends on the location being searched, with large hardware stores typically providing the largest amount.
The Cloth Drop Off produces a small amount of cloth every hour and some types of junk and components as well as hand wraps and [gloves]] provide cloth when recycled. In addition, Fuel can be traded for cloth at The Store and some of the removable junk piles scattered across the compound provide this resource when cleared.
Several achievements are associated with scavenging cloth, namely Rags to Rags, Habadasher and Clothier.
Strategy[]
Cloth is typically the scarcest resource, being found in smaller amounts than either metal or wood and is mostly used for many basic comfort and security structures. Some types of junk and components provide cloth when recycled, most of which can be found in residences, large residences and hospitals. Quite a few types of gear, when recycled, provide cloth and/or components that can be further recycled for cloth.
Large hardware stores and department stores are the best places to find cloth, as well as many other construction resources. Failing this, Warehouses and regular hardware stores will provide moderate amounts of the resource. Note that construction sites have very little cloth.
