Background[]
The Desert 'Cookie Dough' or 'Chocolate Chip' camouflage (known officially as the 6-colour Desert pattern) was the first Desert-environment camouflage developed by the United States Army. Introduced alongside the iconic U.S. Woodland (M81) camouflage in 1981, it remained in use through Operation Desert Storm and was phased out in 1995 in favour of the 3-colour Desert pattern.
Sold in army surplus stores.
