Not sure why anyone would keep an old doormat.
When visitors come into your residence, make sure they keep the dirt and sand on the soles of their shoes outside, instead of all over your expensive Persian rug! Made of strong, long-lasting fibers such as coir, palm, nylon, rubber, cloth, or aluminium, doormats are flat, rectangular mats used by visitors to stomp and scrape dirt, snow, and sand off their shoes before entering the building, often with a short written greeting to welcome them.
Found in the main entrances of some houses.
