Even in this day and age, with "electronic documents" and whatnot, paper documents are still very commonly used. It's easier to sign legitimate signatures on them, easier to guard than have a computer get hacked by someone over the Internet, and easier to destroy when needed, in case someone knows how to recover deleted files.
Found in filing cabinets and the desks of busy office workers.
