The First Aid Bag (formerly First Aid Kit) is a type of passive gear featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone. It can only be equipped by Medics and the Leader.

Description[]

Basic first aid kit equipped for most situations, improves healing speed.

Background[]

If injured, even the most hardened survivors won't last long without basic medical treatment; these small kits contain only a limited variety of medications and dressings, but when well prepared and utilized they are still capable of stemming even serious wounds (at least until proper treatment can be applied), and are easier to carry than full-sized medical kits.

Effect[]

Increases Healing Speed by a percentage, depending on the First Aid Bag's level. Maximum level is 11.

How to obtain[]

  • It can be scavenged during Level 2+ missions.
  • Level 2 Maintained Complete variants can be purchased for 30 Fuel at The Store.
  • Level 6 Maintained Expert variants can be purchased for 95 Fuel at The Store.
  • Level 2 Normal variants can be crafted using 10 Gauze, 4 Pockets, 1 Scissors, 4 Fasteners and 15 Cloth at a Level 1+ Gear Bench for 1 Fuel.
  • Level 6 Maintained Complete variants can be crafted using 6 Heavy Fabric, 10 Gauze, 4 Pockets, 1 Scissors and 4 Fasteners at a Level 1+ Gear Bench for 7 Fuel after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level 6 Engineer to craft.
  • Level 7 Complete variants can be crafted using 2 Heavy Fabric, 10 Gauze, 4 Pockets, 1 Scissors and 4 Fasteners at a Level 3+ Gear Bench for 4 Fuel
  • Level 10 Maintained Common variants can be crafted using 7 Heavy Fabric, 10 Gauze, 4 Pockets, 1 Scissors and 4 Fasteners at a Level 3+ Gear Bench for 12 Fuel after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level 10 Engineer to craft.

  • Maintained, which increases Healing Speed by 1%.
  • Complete, which increases Healing Speed by 2%.
  • Common, which increases Healing Speed by 3%.
  • Expert, which increases Healing Speed by 5%.
  • Incomplete, which decreases Healing Speed by 2%.
  • Old, which decreases Healing Speed by 2.5%.

Tactics[]

As it can only be equipped by two survivor classes, there's not much to be said about it. Medics should generally have one equipped as healing is their primary task, though a Vest to counter their low health might be a better alternative. Leaders should only be equipped with it if the player feels that it is truly necessary, as it takes up a gear slot that could be used to enhance their combat abilities.
