Description[edit | edit source]
A roll of aluminum foil.
Background[edit | edit source]
Who knew a thin sheet of metal could do so much? Aluminum foil, also known as aluminium foil, is a thin sheet of the element aluminium, the most abundant metal in Earth's crust. Aluminum foil acts as a great form of packaging, blocking out light, oxygen, dirt, and germs that could potentially harm the precious cargo inside. It also serves as an excellent heat barrier and reflector, making it great for keeping cold objects cold and hot objects hot.
Sold in virtually any hardware store and supermarket, and is used to package thousands of products.
