Description[edit | edit source]
Frame from a pair of glasses.
Background[edit | edit source]
The frame of a pair of glasses holds the lenses in proper position, as well as forming the basic structure of the glasses. Ophthalmic frames come in a variety of designs, sizes, materials, shapes and colors to fit their needs. Most are used for vision correction, and are designed to be worn for everyday use. They leave a comfortable gap between the eyes and the lenses, and are easy to remove and replace when needed.
Found in eyeglasses stores and the offices of ophthalmologists.
