The HERC-1 Combat Knife is a bladed weapon featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
Background
This high quality but otherwise conventional blade is the standard combat knife issued to HERC operatives, though it's more likely to be used for opening cans rather than throats. It is, however, quite capable of performing the latter with great efficiency, should it become necessary.
Typically found in HERC armories or on the bodies of their operatives.
How to obtain
- Level 10 variants might be obtained by opening certain Re-Re-Released HERC Tactical Response Supply Box variants.

Tactics
A fast blade with decent damage, the HERC-1 Combat Knife can kill a small to medium-sized zombie horde easily. However, the user can get swarmed due to its low knockback and shares the same weaknesses with other melee weapons, notably, its short reach. Support from other survivors is recommended during large attacks. It should be replaced by stronger weapons when they become available.
