Description
Protective handle part from a bladed weapon.
Background
The hilt is the handle of any bladed weapon, such as swords or knives, and comprise of three parts: the guard, the grip, and the pommel. The guard protects the user from a blade sliding down and cuting or injuring the hand. The grip is the handle itself, usually made of wood and metal and wrapped in leather for grip. The pommel prevents the hand from slipping away and ensures its wielder is able to maintain a hold of their weapon even during intense hand-to-hand combat.
Can be found in most legally made bladed weapons.
