The Long Pistol is an improvised rifle featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
Background
Basically a carbine variant of the M1911 Pistol, the addition of a stock and handguard makes it easier to aim, while an elongated barrel increases its muzzle velocity, improving accuracy and effective range. It also has an increased rate of fire thanks to a modified action. The increased bulk does make it slightly more difficult to reload, but it is a significant improvement on the original.
Can be made with the right materials and knowledge.
Tactics
The Last Stand: Dead Zone
With a small range, average damage and a high rate of fire, the Long Pistol's role is more comparable to assault rifles. Best equipped by Engineers for long range, or by Recons for close quarter combat purpose.
