The M110 SASS is a long rifle featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.
Background
A semi-automatic sniper rifle intended to replace the M24, it served extensively in the Middle East, where it received glowing praise from the soldiers equipped with it thanks to its high accuracy and rate of fire. It's based on the predecessor of the M16 and M4A1, and shares many of the same parts as a result.
Formerly exclusive to the military, it had become legal for civilian use shortly before the outbreak.
Tactics
The Last Stand: Dead Zone
With an extremely high damage per shot and decent range and accuracy, this semi-automatic rifle can tear most enemies quickly from a distance. However, its slow reload speed and extremely loud noise may bring more trouble than it can handle, delegating it to a support role.
Recommended Gear
- Ammunition Mod buffs the already high damage.
- Ammunition Pouch/Bandolier compenstate for its slow reload time.
- Glasses increase its range, with some variants increasing accuracy as well.
