  • Just saw your edit here. Welcome back after a long hiatus!

    • Got an email notification and just happened to not be in the middle of something when the vandal hit. You normally get to those long before I check my email. Haven't played in ages, so more of that is probably going to be the extent of my return.

Still, good job keeping the place going in my absence. Sorry for just dropping off without any warning.

  • I am one of the forum, Discord community member of the 3rd Warfare game called Warfare Online, yes the game is the latest Warfare game that Con has devoloped. i have some question to ask you:

    1. Because of the Warfare Wikia have been in it inactive state for a long time, can i be the new Admin in that wikia? If not, can i have any access to the Admin wikia options to change?

    2. Are you fequently active? Would you like to join our Discord server?

  • It's clearly a blunt in TLS:UC, but not so in TLS:DZ... per this edit. I just checked in game and medics, who specialize in blades, are apparently specialized with shovels, which indicates that they're considered bladed weapons in-game.

What do you think? Since TLS:DZ doesn't make it very clear what is a blade and what is a blunt, do you think we should exclude it entirely from TLS:DZ pages and instead just refer to them as "melee"?

    • Since the distinction between bladed and blunt melee weapons do affect gameplay, I think it'd be best to keep them around.

Do Scavengers also have a bonus with it? I'd check myself, but I don't have any Shovels in my inventory. If they do, it might be a test run by the devs at implementing hybrid melee weapons or something like that. If not, then it's a blade in DZ and the pages will have to be updated accordingly.

There's also the possibility that it's a bug, especially if Con hasn't mentioned it in a patchnote somewhere. Might want to ask on the forums first just in case.

    • I have a few shovels in my inventory, I can quickly go and check.

EDIT: Nope, scavengers don't have a bonus with the shovel.

  • Before I begin, I would like to confirm that this isn't a hat-collecting egotastic frenzy, nor is this a declaration of wiki domination. I'll be honest, I have had plans for this request since March 2014, but I had never told anyone nor even wrote it out or typed it out anywhere. I have held off on this request in order to 1. See how well my adminship would run for and how I would perform, and 2. To gain the trust and comfort of the community having a new administrator to keep an eye on things.

As I have written in my one year reflection, I personally feel that I could have done better as my time as an administrator. I made mistakes here and there, did some stupid things, and sometimes allowed my hands to move faster than my brain did. But, putting those mistakes behind (or perhaps as a consequence of making them), I feel that I have made some serious stepping stones in the world of wiki-editing. However, my statements are nothing if nobody else is willing to back me up, and I do have support. While I'm not the one to accept responsibility for myself, other people have seen my contributions on other wikis and determined that I do in fact have the ability to maintain these responsibilities. On Wikipedia, I have been given the "autopatrolled" permission (proof) not by request, but by an administrator who has been monitoring my contributions and felt that I had demonstrated the capacities and capabilities of having the user flag. And again, on The Sims Wiki, I have been nominated for bureaucrat rights, which is the reason why I am writing this in the first place -- other people have felt that I had demonstrated the capacities needed, even though I did not request for those rights in the first place.

Confidence aside, I would like to request bureaucrat status here on The Last Stand Wiki not just because of the skills and trust demonstrated, but largely to ensure this wiki will continue to function for as long as it has to. Also noting your declining activity, and the debacle for my own adminship, it would be beneficial if there were two active bureaucrats on the wiki (two for a backup system in case one is unable to edit for long periods of time), that are able to handle any new rollback/administrator requests on this wiki, just in case another fine editor proves themselves worthy of the arsenal of important tools.

I hope that you will at least consider this request and let me know what you think. Feel free to search my contributions or my log entries if necessary and, in case you have any questions regarding the matter, feel free to ask.

    Regards,

    • Request granted, you're more than qualified for it as proven by your activity here and on other wikis.

Here's your fountain pen for the form signing.

    • I don't think it's necessary to keep those parameters around. If a hypothetical fanon weapon maker wants to put it all in one page, they can use (UC), (DZ), etc. or something to that effect like the canon articles used to.

Would be simpler for everyone involved, I would think.

    • I would think that would make the infobox a bit too crowded, especially for those not experienced with working with templates or HTML code, such as <br />. Alternatively we could make a new gunbox template solely for fanons, or maybe I could see if I can make something work with parser functions that would make the "Union City Damage" and "Dead Zone Damage" parameters function similarly to plain old "Damage", but would display something different in the fanon namespace.

  • I'm probably being a very-selfish forum shopper here, but I figure this thread regarding a Z-Mas theme for the wiki might interest you, since you created the current wiki-logo at the top of every page.
