The Military Base is a location that can be searched in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

An abandoned temporary military base.

During the outbreak, these temporary bases were set up by the military and HERC, where they coordinated operations within Union City and held a small garrison to defend against the infected. When the military and HERC withdrew from the city, most of the high-end equipment was left behind. Survivors may be able to find valuable military equipment hidden amongst the hordes of undead soldiers that guard it.

Possible findsEdit

Level calculationEdit

The level of a Military Base is always 3 levels higher than the area it is in.

Military bases consist of a massive rectangular map with lots of containers and zombie spawn points, as well as a high spawn rate, making them fairly challenging locations. Walls made out of sandbags divide the map into several sections, restricting movement but not line of sight and ranged weapon fire. The best strategy would be to keep survivors together at all times and always be ready to move them, as zombies tend to be relentless on this map. Keeping a healthy distance away from the spawn points, and only going near said points in between waves, is strongly recommended.

A couple of long rifles and/or assault rifles are highly recommended here, as it's a very large map with few shot-blocking obstructions. One or two melee weapons or shotguns to cover survivors while they reload may also be a good idea. An LMG may also be wise, given the large amounts of zombies present. Although the map can be completed with four survivors, military bases are generally best done with a five-member team.
