Tactics
Despite beeing the most inaccurate weapon in the game, the MG42 however has a very high DPS meaning that a succesful hit can deal massive damages and knockback.
As it has a very low accuracy, it is best to equip it by a fighter, increasing drastically its accuracy and so its DPS, which makes it a great weapon for clearing hordes of zombies.
However, its very slow reload speed can put the survivor in great danger if this one is out of ammo, so support from other survivors is recommended as well as a reloading gear. If the survivor wielding the MG42 is a recon and wears a reloading gear, this one can run away to reload safely and deal with the zombies alone as this weapon does not have any movement penalty unlike other Heavy Weapons.
To sum up, this weapon is considered one of the most powerful weapons in the game if held in the hands of a fighter, a recon or a leader.
