Power cord. Copper wire covered in rubber and plastic.
Electronic devices need some source of power to be anything other than a useless hunk of metal. Some are battery-powered, but those are temporary, and they don't work for power hungry devices. A power cord which directly connects the device to the power grid solves this problem. Power cords are plugged into special sockets on the wall that supply electricity to anything stuck into them. Connectors may vary by country, but usually consist of two parallel blades or two blades with a ground pin that are connected into their respective socket.
Included with most electrical devices or sold separately in most hardware stores.
