This backpack might be useful if the bottom wasn't missing.
Backpacks are a type of bag worn on the back of the wearer, secured by two straps that wrap around the shoulders. They are especially useful for carrying large and heavy loads over long distances, as the weight of the load is carried by the body, which is stronger than the arms. The one disadvantage is that, since the backpack is held behind the eyes, objects that fall out or are pickpocketed from the backpack may not be immediately noticed by the wearer, and it isn't until the wearer checks their bag or looks behind them that they realize their backpack has a big, gaping hole on the bottom.
A common sight in landfills, though some try to patch up the hole themselves.
