The SV-SMG is a submachine gun featured in The Last Stand: Union City.
Background
A new milestone in small arms technology, this compact weapon system features a unique vertically-canted firing mechanism that is designed to reduce felt recoil and increase on-target accuracy, most notably with large-caliber pistol rounds like the .45 ACP - long felt to be a bane in automatic weapons. Its manufacturer intended to market the gun to military and law enforcement circles as both a PDW and a tactical SMG.
A new and expensive firearm, it is unknown how many were sold prior to the outbreak.
Tactics
The Last Stand: Union City
This unique submachinegun's small size and high damage output and ROF combine to make it a very desirable weapon for crowd clearing. However, trigger-happy players will blow through their ammo reserves very quickly if they're not careful. The gun is often seen equipped by HERC soldiers.
Pros
- Good damage
- High ROF (highest of all automatics)
- Reloads Quickly
- Fully-Automatic
Cons
- Consumes ammo quickly
- Rare
