- Not to be confused with Sighted.
Description[edit | edit source]
Front and rear sights from a firearm.
Background[edit | edit source]
By definition, any device that is used to aim weapons is referred to as a "sight." They are usually nothing more than some markers that must be aligned with the target to increase accuracy. More sophisticated sights, such as "traditional scope" or "red-dot scope" sights, are used in hunting and in competitions, respectively. Long and assault rifles may have a built-in sight ready for use, while sights are an optional addition for other firearm types.
Can be removed from any firearm that has one of these, or purchased directly from the manufacturer.
