Submachine guns are a type of firearm featured in all installments of The Last Stand series.
Background[]
Automatic weapons that fire pistol cartridges, whose compactness and comfortable recoil make them effective weaponry at close distances. Despite the advancement and availability of assault rifles, certain military/law enforcement units still use these guns in sensitive counter-terror situations, especially in urban environments where there are high risks of collateral damage. Survivors with plenty of spare handgun ammo will appreciate scavenging such weaponry.
