Hardcore is a General challenge book featured in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

Description

Only for true survivors.

Background

The latest challenge, this is a final test to prove yourself and your companions as real survivors. Survive this and you'll become a Dead Zone-qualified survivor; fail and this place will chew and spit you out of survival.

Don't expect mercy, pity or clemency from the Dead Zone; it will throw at you everything that will break you both morally and physically.

How to obtain

• It can be found while scavenging in the Dead Zone.

Effect

The book increases food, water, and ammo consumption by 100%, effects of noise by 100%, infected health and damage by 100%, infected horde attacks by 25%, and allows zombies to inflict critical damage. It provides a 25% boost in mission XP.
