The Last Stand Wiki
Walnut This page in a nutshell: Administrators are users trusted with access to certain tools on the wiki. They are servants to the community, not bosses, and thus should not abuse their powers.
For a list of admins on The Last Stand Wiki, see Special:ListUsers/sysop.
See also: Help:User access levels.

Administrators, also known as admins or sysops, are generally trusted members of the community that are given the option to possess a few extra tools in editing the wiki, such as being able to block/unblock users from editing, delete/undelete pages, and protecting/unprotecting pages from editing.

To contact an administrator, find one here, and then click the "(wall)" link underneath their username.

What can administrators do?[]

Administrators have all the abilities of rollbackers, registered, and autoconfirmed users, in addition to...

  • Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
  • Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
  • Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
  • Appointing and removing Chat moderators.
  • Editing the MediaWiki interface by changing system messages and skins.

Who are the admins on The Last Stand Wiki?[]

The following is a list of administrators on The Last Stand Wiki, along with a tag that specifies whether they are active or not.

K6ka sysop, bureaucrat Active
SmilingWolf sysop, bureaucrat Inactive

What is a bureaucrat?[]

A bureaucrat is a user that has all the administrator abilities plus the ability to modify other users rights. They can appoint users as administrators, rollbackers, Chat moderators, and bureaucrats, and can remove those rights if necessary. Bureaucrats cannot have their bureaucrat flag removed by anyone except by themselves and by Wikia Staff.

What is a founder?[]

The founder is typically the person who first created the wiki. They are automatically given the administrator and bureaucrat rights, as well as an irremovable title of "FOUNDER" next to their username.

The founder of The Last Stand Wiki is UndefineD, who is currently inactive.

What can administrators not do?[]

Administrators should not abuse their powers, such as using them to gain advantage over an editing dispute, block users unfairly, or revert edits that are not vandalism without providing a valid reason. Consider administrators as merely ordinary users that have a few extra buttons at their disposal, and are trusted to use them for the benefit of the community.

How do I become an administrator?[]

There currently is no active page for users to request adminship or bureaucrat rights. Users who want to receive these rights must first prove that they are here to help, will not abuse the tools, have decent knowledge in Wikitext, and are friendly and cooperative with other editors. They may then add a request to a bureaucrat's message wall.
