Background[]
Also known as yarn, thread is a type of interlocked fibers used in tailoring, sewing, and knitting. They are often made out of cotton or polyester, due to their properties that make them good for clothing. Thread is wound up around a spool and may be dyed to change the color. While typically used for the production of textiles and clothes, thread may also be used for marking lines, drawing an exit path in a maze, and as a toy for kittens.
