Research Update! The update came out on November 19,[1]not during the weekly server restarts (Sorry if you got overexcited). To unlock the Research feature, you'll need to build a Research Bench and find some Research Notes and Research Components. So, get scavenging! Once you find some toys to tinker with, you can start doing your homework and work to improve the life of your survivors!
Research projects are divided into six categories: Comfort, Equipment, Production, Security, Storage, and Traps. Each project has ten research levels to them, and they correspond to the level of your research bench. You'll have to grease the wheels of your research bench as well, so expect to do lots of upgrading!
Don't think research is something you can just speed your way through by forking over some cash. Research projects can't be sped up once initiated, and they can't be cancelled once you start. It will take approximately 18 months to complete all the research projects, so don't hold your breath! (That also means our articles will take a very long time to develop!)
