The HK416 - Ignacio Smalls Custom is an assault rifle "featured" in The Last Stand: Union City. It is the legendary assault rifle used by Ignacio Smalls, a CIA SAD operative and retired Navy SEAL who currently operates in Union City.
Background[]
This special HK416 was issued to Lt. Ignacio Smalls, a former member of the Navy's popular Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), or more commonly referred to as Seal Team Six. SEALs in DEVGRU have the luxury of adding even more customizations to their already-buffed up weapons in the unit's special support armory. This HK416 has a terrifying confirmed kill-count of 46 (before the zombie apocalypse). He lost count after the outbreak.
Ignacio was sent to Union City by the CIA to investigate alleged war crimes committed by HERC. Of course, he brought along his trusty companion.
Features[]
Ignacio wanted the basic build he fine-tuned to his own special needs, all the way down to the grip size and trigger sensitivity. He installed every gun-junkie's accessory-wishlist:
- EOTech 551 red-dot holographic sight with 3x magnifier
- AN/PEQ-15 IR laser sight (the infrared laser can only be seen with his GPNVG-18 goggles, but it also has a red daylight laser)
- 6P Surefire flashlight
- Tango Down vertical foregrip (he added green duct tape for a better fit and grip)
- Cheekrest/utility pouch
- Suppressor
- Magpul CTR carbine stock
- VTAC wide padded rifle sling
- His own supply of MagLevel PMAG 30-round magazines
How to obtain[]
No one can obtain it, since Ignacio basically eats and sleeps with the thing. Any thief attempting to take it will soon find his/herself in danger. Ignacio swore to only give the gun to his long-time companion in Union City, Private Jacob Berry (a soldier he rescued near Brookvale), only if he was about to die--which is highly unlikely.
Tactics[]
A very versatile weapon, Ignacio has learnt to master it in a variety of situations. With his night vision goggles and the infrared laser, he can quietly sneak into buildings and pick off zombies one by one. He can also take long range shots with ease using the 3x magnifier and his master marksmanship skills.
