The Uzi is a submachine gun featured in all installments of the Last Stand.

Background

Until the MP5, this Israeli gun ruled the 60’s to the early 90’s as the world's iconic and modern SMG. Its affordability, innovative mechanism, and combat effectiveness have since kept it ubiquitous in the armies of developing nations and in the hands of criminals throughout the globe.

Law enforcement agencies had confiscated significant quantities of this weapon, including illegal conversions of civilian variants.

Tactics

The Last Stand

The seventh on the list of scavengeable weapons is the ultimate spray-and-pray gun, with a high ROF, fast reload, and a large 50-round magazine. It is the best primary weapon for most of the game, but its low damage and poor accuracy makes careful aiming especially important for maximizing the gun's effectiveness.

The Last Stand 2

The same gun as in the last game, which can be found in Claysburg with the UMP45, and is the preferable choice of the two SMGs. It should be equipped solely by the player, as fellow survivors will not capitalize on the gun's firepower (they only fire automatic weapons in intermittent bursts).

The Last Stand: Union City

The Uzi's magazine size and effectiveness have been significantly reduced to closer match reality, resulting in the game's lowest-tier SMG. It has a ROF equal to that of the UMP45 and MP5, but is the heaviest and least accurate of the entire category. The Uzi is somewhat useful against rushes due to it's slightly larger magazine, but should be replaced by another automatic as soon as possible.

Pros

  • Large Magazine (largest of all SMGs)
  • Reloads Quickly
  • Fully-Automatic
  • Common
Cons
  • Low Damage
  • Inaccurate (lowest of all SMGs)
  • Heaviest SMG
