Attachments

A survivor wielding a Scoped M24, with a Spec Ops UMP45 on his back. (TLS:UC)

Example weapon

Stat screen of a Manning .22 with multiple attachments and conditions. (TLS:DZ)

Weapon Attachments and Conditions are a feature in The Last Stand: Union City and The Last Stand: Dead Zone. Attachments and conditions affect damage, accuracy, weight, magazine size, noise, range, knockback, reload speed and attack speed.

The Last Stand: Union City

Only one attachment or condition can be present on a weapon, and certain weapons cannot possess attachments or conditions at all. Also, the attachment or condition present on a weapon cannot be changed. (The only exception is the "Keeping It Quiet" quest, where Darnel silences a PPM 9, with other items.)

The Last Stand: Dead Zone

Up to two attachments and/or conditions can be present on a weapon, and their effects can vary by weapon type. It is otherwise identical to the system used in TLS:UC, though crafting allows the player to alter them to an extent.

Weapon Quality Highlights

The quality of a weapon is indicated by a color highlight to its inventory slot sprite, which is determined by a hidden quality rating possessed by all attachments and conditions. They are:

  • Light Grey/White (border only): Slightly positive condition.
  • Green: Moderately positive condition.
  • Blue: Highly positive condition.
  • Purple: Very highly positive condition.
  • Black (background only): Negative condition.
  • Gold/Yellow: Exclusive to certain weapons only available from the Fuel Trading Post or HERC Supply Boxes.
